Request a decision from a Salesforce Flow

Updated Nov 8, 2026 Based on Salesforce docs updated 2026-08-27

Personalization exposes decisions to Salesforce Flow through an invocable action, so a Flow in Service, an internal app, or Experience Cloud can request a decision and branch on it — no code or callout required.

Add the action to a Flow

  1. In Flow Builder, add a new element and search the action picker for the Personalization decisioning action.
  2. Select the personalization point the decision belongs to.
  3. Pass the individual identifier the point resolves against.
  4. Store the returned decision (and any content or merge fields) in a Flow variable.
  5. Branch or display downstream using that variable.

Set up the personalization point and its decision first — see Create personalization points and decisions.
