How-to
This is the implementation guide for Salesforce Personalization: short, task-focused pages grouped into sub-sections, one procedure per page. If you’re new, work through the sub-sections in the order below — each builds on data or setup the previous one created. If you already know what you need, jump straight to its sub-section.
Getting started
Spin up an org, enable Data 360 and Personalization, assign permissions, and deploy foundational data kits.
Connectors
Compare the Website, Mobile and Ingestion API connectors, then follow the setup pages for the one you need.
Data mapping
Map data lake objects to standard data model objects, including custom fields on the Goods Product DMO.
Identity & data graphs
Configure identity resolution rulesets and build the real-time profile and standard-item data graphs.
Calculated insights
Build standard and real-time calculated insights, add them to the data graph, and segment for personalization.
Personalization
Set up content schema, experience templates, recommenders, decisions, Web Personalization Manager, campaigns and localization.
Delivery channels
Deliver decisions via the Decisioning API, Flows, batch activation, Agentforce and Einstein Studio predictions.
Experimentation
Create and manage experiments and compare recommenders to learn what performs best.
Go-live
Work the go-live checklist, confirm you’re within limits, and troubleshoot common launch issues.
Discussion
Comments are not configured for local development. They appear once the site owner connects GitHub Discussions (Giscus).
