Map DLOs to standard DMOs

Updated Nov 7, 2026 Based on Salesforce docs retrieved 2026-11-07

Incoming data lands in data lake objects (DLOs) — raw tables for each connected source. Salesforce Personalization only reads from data model objects (DMOs), the standardized model, so you must map each DLO’s fields to the matching DMO fields before that data is usable for personalization.

Map DLO fields to a DMO

  1. In Data 360, open the data mapping canvas for your data space.
  2. Select the source DLO and the fields you want to map.
  3. Map each selected field to the matching field on the target DMO.
  4. Resolve any data type mismatches the canvas flags between DLO and DMO fields.
  5. Save the mapping to apply it so Personalization can read the DMO.
